Re: This guy is a show-off

Thats a far poke for most with a rifle.Second shot with a revolver.Don't know how many practice shots were taken or how the video was edited though. If you shoot enough rounds you will hit at some point.

Re: This guy is a show-off

Jerry has been doing improbable shots for quite some time. I also heard he knows his way around handguns and shoots just a little bit more than most.

So you would feel safe standing at the plate while Jerry lobbed a couple at ya from a thousand?

Re: This guy is a show-off

He and Elmer Keith should have teamed up. Must have used alot of editing to get that one. Offhand with a 9MM at 1000 yards= BULL****!

Re: This guy is a show-off

just like the thread going on over in the waterfowl section, if they haven't ever done it or if it isn't the way they do it, lots of guys on here do nothing but BMC.

Re: This guy is a show-off

He said he was aiming 80 yards above the target. who cares how many trys it took him, he still did it. The guy does nothing but get paid to be better than any of us at shooting guns haha. I have no doubt it was real.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

Re: This guy is a show-off

Ever read about Billy Dixon at the battle of Adobe Walls. Took a flyer at an Indian on a horse with a borrowed Sharps rifle and hit the brave at 7/8 of a mile. Quannah Parker, was with the Indian and claimed the bullet hit a rock and bounced up into the Indian's thigh. Dixon admitted it was a "scratch shot" Regardless of who was later interviewed, they all agreed on the distance and that the Indian was struck by the bullet.

At the Battle of Saratoga, Tim Murphy climbed a pine tree with his long rifle and shot the British general off his horse. It took three of four shots, but is reported to have been 438 yds distance by some accounts.

The wind, humidity, temperature and thermoplanes at 1,000 yds means it could only have been a combination of some skill with a lot of luck.
