Savage B.Mag 17 WSM

I recently purchased one of these and I am having trouble shooting consistent groups @100 yards, 3-4 rounds 1+ inch, the other 1-2 are 3+ inches away. I bought the thin barrel version and the gun is kinda flimsy & light so maybe this is the best it will do.
Anyone else have any experience with this new cartridge & rifle?

Re: Savage B.Mag 17 WSM

These rifles appear to be junk. I expect there to be a flood of these used rifles hitting the market soon. I can't believe I'm hearing of guys being happy with 1.5" groups, I wouldn't even be happy with that out of a deer rifle much less a varmint caliber.

It's not luck if success is consistent.

im very intrigued by the .17wsm, but I couldn't get over that I thought the savage looked cheap in my opinion. if I remember correctly Winchester is making a single shot and man is that thing purty!

Winchester .17WSM

JMO
the winchester is approx five times the cost of a savage ,but if thats the one that makes you happy that is the one to buy.

Save a wolf , take one to the taxidermist

Research before you buy. Several reports of poor accuracy.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.

Mine is now going back to Savage, I had the choice of them fixing or replacing my thin barrel version or for $50 replacing it with new heavy barrel version.

Never buy a brand new caliber till the kinks are worked out
