value of brass

I saved a small amount of brass for the past couple years with the intention of learning to re-load. Well, I haven't done it yet, and could use a little extra cash for another project. I don't want to ask an outrageous price, but want to get a fair price for it. What is a fair price to ask for, say 100 rounds of once fired brass? I have .270, .308, 7mm-08, and some .35 rem. As soon as I decide, it should be on the classifieds. Thanks.

Re: value of brass

The price will vary, depending on the brand of brass, and how in demand it is.

I think I'm an alright guy, I think I'm alright

Re: value of brass

To give you an idea over on pafoa, there is a guy who sells head stamped matched rifle brass for 18-20 per 100.

Re: value of brass

I generally sell once fired brass for about $ 4/box in the more common calibers just to get rid of it.

Re: value of brass

Look up prices of new Remington brass and adjust the price down a bit...

Like was said odd ball calibers will sell for more and quicker...common stuff not so much...22-250 brass sells well and I never understood why...3006-308-223 and pistol calibers not so much..still worth something to someone though...especially if you have a decent amount to make it worthwhile...
