Remington 34 ?

Saw a Remington 34 at a show today.Noticed a lockwasher under the tackdown knob on the forearm.Was that origional or did someone add it?

It came from the factory with an " Escutcheon ".
The lock washer was added when someone lost it.
The original part number is 54, probably could get one for a few bucks. Model 34 is neat, only made for 5 years.
There was an " NRA Target Model" that is very sought after.
