Mossberg 500

I am looking for an opinion on getting a slug barrel combo for my Mossberg 500 20 gauge. What is the typical accuracy I should expect and the limit of the slug. I am not going anywhere that is slug only but I am thinking of it just something different. Any thoughts?

Re: Mossberg 500

Have a 20ga 500 with a slug barrel. shoots Hornady sabot slugs into about a 3" circle at 100yds. Haven't had a chance to test other slugs in that one yet.

Life's too short to hunt with an ugly dog!

I have a 12 Gauge 500 and it shoots Lightfield sabots into a 3" circle or less at 100 yards.

Re: Mossberg 500

My wife owns/shoots a 20 ga model 500 that routinely shoots a 2 inch group at 75 yds. Have not shot longer distance because where we hunt you cannot see more than 50 to 75 yds. This is with a rifled barrel & sabots.

Re: Mossberg 500

I ended up getting the combo. It seems like a very good combo, bit it was a no name scope that seemed pretty cheap.
