Ammo ?

Just a quick question for you all who I'm sure know a lot more about firearms and ammo than me.

I am currently shooting Hornady 7mm Rem Mag 154 gr InterLock® SP out of my ruger. Well everywhere I look it says these rounds are either temporarily out of production or not available. I have inquired with Hornady but have yet to hear back.

Just wondering if anyone has any insight on this situation. If I can't get them anymore I have no problem switching to something else but If I had an option I would definitely stick with these.

Re: Ammo ?

The 154 gr interlock is suspended right now, so i doubt you'll get any ammo till they makea run of those bullets.I heard they were going to make a run of 6mm AMAX in april, and weren't very concerned about making the 7mm 162 GR AMAX for lack of interest. They seem outta touch because alot LR guys are gaga about that 162 gr amax. I've heard good things about the federal fusion ammo. Accurate ammo, good bullet( speer deep curl). They offer it in a 150 gr load for the 7mag at less than 30 bucks a box.

Re: Ammo ?

I guess to phrase it better I should ask: Do you think I will be able to get these again before next deer season?

Re: Ammo ?

Check out Hornady 154gr SST. Fabulous on deer out to +400yd with that cartridge.

My Sako AV 7mmRM digs 162gr SST stoked hot with IMR4831. To get the most out of the 150gr class I have to back off my charge. Sending the 150s too hot through my gun opens my group +/- [email protected]

My aspirations are simple.
Send the kids to college, hunt, and own more guns
