savage 24 experts

I have a friend that inherited 2 savage 24s both 22 mag 20ga.He wants to keep one sell the other he doesn't care which one my question is one is a 24J-dl the barrels are welded together the other one I forget the model number but barrels are separated which is more likely to have both barrels shot close to each other or doesn't it really matter? I'm going to buy it off of him and he said I could have either .

The ones with the barrels welded together are generally more desirable.

Re: savage 24 experts

The ones with the seperated barrels get loose sometimes, can be fixed. But give me solid barrels any day.

I have the one with the barrels welded together. The rifle barrel is zeroed and the SG barrel centers patterns just a few inches above the zero.
