I know .22 LR Ammo is like finding gold, but what about .17s???

Which 17's ? I haven't had any trouble finding the hmr's. I hope to have to find some 17 hornet in the near future.

Dunham's at the Cranberry Mall in Venango County usually has good supply of 17 HMR

Thanks all..i am looking to buy another small caliber rifle..just don;t want to get one that i can;t get shells for.

So HMR or Hornet...which would you get?

What do want to use it for?I bought a Ruger .17 hornet this past summer.It's a great varmint and fur gun but the gun itself is more expensive.It's also not really for plinking or for small game that you plan on eating.

I had 22 MAG, traded it for the 17HMR when it came out, shot it few years, then sold it for another 22 MAG



22MAG ammo is pretty easy for me to find in the smaller shops in Clarion, Venango and Butler counties

I'm liking the hornet for what I would use it for. I'm just about ready to make the purchase. It should have enough for coyotes and not rip foxes up. I will still use my hmr for ground hogs.
