Remington Speedmaster

Had a friend show me a .22 Remington Speedmaster rifle that a elderly lady gave him, loading port in the side of the stock and looks to eject from the bottom. I don't remember seeing one before, any info on this gun would be appreciated. Tks in advance

Re: Remington Speedmaster

It's a John M Browning design. Do some research on the Browning/FN semi auto 22. The Remington model he has should be a 24 or 241, I think.

Re: Remington Speedmaster

If it's a Speedmaster should be a M241. Like RobOz said it was a John M Browning design made from 1935 to around 1950, give or take a year or two. Nice rifle.......JRM404

Re: Remington Speedmaster

Remington originally numbered the gun #24 Browning Still makes the gun in high grades. Should have a takedown button on the side. Push the button and twist the barrel. It will pull apart.
