Wood duck nest boxes

I'd like to put a few up. Any links or recommendations for where I can get some for a reasonable price?

check the Delta Waterfowl site. I think they used to offer boxes for sale. Good luck, hope you bring off a bunch of those little fuzz balls.

Don't shoot brown ducks!!

Go to the local lumber mill. Always scrape pieces around. I get mine from a Amish mill that just burns the part of the logs that has bark on them. It makes for cheap nest and they are more natural.

PGC site .... https://www.pgc.pa.gov/InformationRe...s/default.aspx ... you have 2 choices A) plans for each critter house shown to make your own or B) buy the kits. There is info on hanging the boxes on that page as well.

I've built 6 myself, and they're quite easy. But if you're not the carpenter type, I've seen them for sale on the tractor supply website, and amazon.

Outsiders call us sadists or masochists; sometimes both. Others, mostly ourselves, describe our activities in romantic, even heroic, terms. We take ourselves very seriously and tend to forget that much of duck and goose hunting is fun and sometimes ridiculous.

The perils of duck hunting are great, especially for the duck.
