Late Season AP Opener Geese

We had a great opener in the fog and rain. We quickly got a 5 man limit. Birds decoyed great. We had brought along some breakfast stuff so we sat there and had a couple flocks land in the decoys while we were eating. Seemed like there were a lot of birds around. Hopefully didn't educate too many. Hard to believe there is a shortage. How did others do?

We had a good one also. Killed a pile of Canadas - saw very few ducks however. Two very notable things about this hunt - 1 - killed a banded Canada that is a minimum of 17 years old. It was banded in N LAC RENAUDIN, Quebec on 7/31 2002 and it was hatched 2001 or earlier! Additionally, we harvested a beautiful Richardson's cackling goose.

That's an OLD goose, very impressive!
Did ya weigh that little Richardson's goose yet?

I've spent most of my money on Waterfowling, Women and Whiskey.
The rest of my money I just wasted.

Did not weigh the little guy. My friend has it and is going to do a dead mount with it. By the time I went to weigh it, he had already prepared it for the freezer.
