Bufflehead and Ring-neck Ducks

Hunted a big pond Wednesday morning. Two firsts for me a bufflehead duck and 2 ringneck ducks. Bufflehead is a pretty cool loooking little duck. The geese were there to and we got a 4 man limit of those plus 2 more ringneck ducks.

Nice hunt - the ringnecks escape me somehow. I had one pond that they liked but they built houses next to it. Congrats

never ate a ringneck that tasted anything but YUCK !!!! Of course, later we found out they were gorging themselves on tadpoles, so never tried one after that ....

Had Bufflehead for dinner tonight. Well one breast. My son shot one out of frustation last week. He cooked it up tonight. I don't shoot them and had not eaten one in years. This was pretty good......both bites!
