New to goose/duck hunting

I was lucky enough to go on my first goose hunt when a friend of a friend drew a tag in Pymatuning and I got an invite. I think I’m hooked. Any suggestions or insight for a new guy? I’m 35 and have been hunting since I was 12 but never got into waterfowl. Are there any public grounds people would suggest. Maybe a fellow hunter could teach me the ropes a little? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Scout scout scout. Look at aerial maps to find bodies of water, then go scout those bodies of water. Early morning is best. I've never had much luck in the evening, but it can be done. I always set up where the birds want to be. If you see bird somewhere when scouting, hunt that area as soon as possible (they could be gone in a day or two)

Get yourself some good decoys (they're expensive). Cover yourself really good, sitting out in the open wearing camo isn't gonna cut it. Take a blind and cover it with brush, or build one from brush. When you think you've covered yourself/your blind in enough brush, add more.
