Southeast Pa opener

Managed to kill 4 mallards this morning. River was way high.

Nice. Slowest opening day for me in a long time but the creek was practically blown out from high water. Did get 1 gorgeous drake wood duck though.

Little slow where I was as well, compared to other opening days, not near the shooting. I couldn't get to where I really wanted to be, but better than being at home!! Ducks can be really spread out this year, there is water everywhere!!

River was about 4 feet higher than normal around here this year. Made for some tough hunting, and even tougher retrieval of downed birds. We managed 11 woodies and 2 mallards though. Even threw in a little “shore brunch” of smoked dove jalapeņo poppers and venison loin medallions.

You did good Borden! I like the Shore Brunch program.

I've spent most of my money on Waterfowling, Women and Whiskey.
