kent county md goose hunt

10 of us went to the farm I lease in Md today to goose hunt. First time this season. by far the coldest I have endured for a goose. But the comradery(sp) made it easier. Some stake decoys required drilling a hole with a hammer drill. Wind was brutal. But the geese were flying and wanted to be where we were. We shot a 10man limit. They were still trying to land as we cleaned up. Good times. hopefully a repeat is in short order.

In this weather, those geese were earned. Good job.

Well done Chester! This pic is worth flipping.

I've spent most of my money on Waterfowling, Women and Whiskey.
The rest of my money I just wasted.

I hunted with a guide names Harris out of Chestertown years ago on a day that the high was -2. Brutal cold geese did not fly until around 1 pm and then suddenly we were done in about 4 minutes. We were down in a pit out of the wind thank goodness. I had two jone pocket warmers going and my feet were still mighty cold. One of the party had an old moving quilt pulled over his lap like an old fashioned buggy blanket. All of us had ski masks on.

Congrats on your hunt.

Thatís awesome. Nothing bad about putting a 10 man limit on the ground!

I hate late hunting partners! Always wake up early and be the first one there.

Congrats on a good hunt!

My brother and i hunted Kent county back in the late seventies and early eighties, near kennedyville. Started getting pretty commercial, every puddle and feild leased, but it was fun while it lasted.
