IronCityIrish and I hit a top secret location (yea right) in western PA today. They was some pressure but not too awfully bad. We saw lots of birds including wood ducks, mallards, black ducks, ringnecked ducks, buffleheads, gadwalls and of all things, greenwinged teal.
We took six in total, three each. I got a ringnecked drake and hen and a gadwall hen. IronCityIrish got a ringnecked drake and 2 ringnecked hens.

Here's a few pics of the days events.

I'd take another look at the gadwall. I would say widgeon hen which do travel with the ring necks. They love to steal food from the ringers.

Apparently you were on the wrong part of the lake. We saw ducks and had shooting most of the morning.

Tealhntr, you should watch wigeon steal food from Tundra Swans, they wait until the swans come up with a bill full of grass then shoot in and grab it.
