And it's called Cable Restraint Class.

You can also take the CR test at a Successful Furtakers Class.

Re: Snaring

This summer there will be any number of classes available. Keep watching the Pa. Game Commission's website.

I trap mink because I don't know any better

Re: Snaring

I get made fun of when I call the cable restraints on other national web sites, especially guys from Canada. Like they say, if it's a cable that can capture animals, it's a snare.

On here I say CR's, call them snares everywhere else.

The horizon is your starting point.

Indeed. X3

For the first couple years I would try to explain to landowners what a Cable Restraint was and how it worked. Almost all of them would say, "But isn't that what a snare does?"

Turns out the non-trapping public isn't as dumb as you think they are. No sense trying to pull the wool over their eyes by calling a rose by another name.
