Re: went to check on a few dens

That's some solid sign.
Do you have much snow down that way?

Same here. Checked some spots today. No sign of anything moving. Besides deer. Usually the caves I checked have trails beat down around them by now.

Re: went to check on a few dens

shouldnt have waited for the snow to melt...they moved hard tonight...every coon in the woods was down...

dog treed me 2...both real nice boars..no rubbing evident on the fur side..im sure it'll show some on the leather side...one may be my biggest of the season..hard to tell..they lost nearly all of their fat and dont look like bear cubs..but held at my waist his tail still touches the ground..should stretch out nice!

had a couple den trees too...and..sadly at midnight coon hunters turn to pumpkins...that law drives me mad...can hunt fox and coyote on sunday...can shoot coons in your traps on sundays...but i cant shoot em from a tree on sundays...i'd normally kept on hunting and just not shot anymore...but i wasnt going home to get ride of the fur and gun to go back out...been a long winter..felt good to be out there listening to the dogs and they sure enjoyed being out in the woods..snow didnt bother them..maybe itll still be warm enough tomorrow evening to get them back out....but gotta leave the dang gun at home till midnite lol

Re: went to check on a few dens

I knew they would move. I just wanted my tracks covered to set.
