10th fox!! Would you skin it?

Caught my tenth fox today!!! Only my second year putting up fur, would you skin this one? Looks like mange to me... Thanks for any advice you can give!

16-17 numbers
fox 0
coons 8
coyotes 1
mink 0
muskrat 0
beaver 0
opossum 1
skunk 1

If your tanning yourself for maybe some craft project... Otherwise its a cull.

I would bone out the tail and skin out the body up to the affected area, then cut it off. This one would go for fly typing purposes.

I trap mink because I don't know any better

Can't tell if it is mange or not, but I don't see you getting anything out of it price wise. Like mink said, could be good fly tying, or maybe hat material if you cut out the spot. If I knew for sure it was a huge rub and not mange I might have let it go, depending on where I was trapping. Not saying you should have or anything. Congrats on the tenth one!!

mange or not,either way you got a nasty one out of the picture.
skin to shoulder and use it for fly fishing.
keep all glands and make it more valuable.

true pleasure is a pair of red eyes coming at you in the night
