Great. First year trapping here just got started Christmas eve now im hooked started with 3 dukes size 3 ive up graded to a dozen bridgers next year all out I have learned so much from you guys awesome site thanks for all the info

or poly fill under the pan or if im bedding in peat or peat mixed with dry dirt and my trap is night latched i dont even bother with either.

Will do.My catch total is 1 red fox 1 coon 14 muskrat I only had two 110 dukes for rats not much for totals but like I said im hooked I havnt had a catch in a week but I have learned a lot that snow sure does tell the truth

I forgot my wax paper pan covers my first couple days this year. Didn't use anything and still haven't yet this year and have yet to have a problem other than the really heavy rains. Sometimes what in do is just take a small batch of grass or weeds and put under pan tons top some dirt from going under. My catches ate higher this year than ever, a lot less dug up traps. I'll never use pan covers again.
