just curious

What's the most k9s you've taken from one set in a season. Today I got my 12th red from the same double set. One trap has caught 7 the other 5. I've only swapped the one trap out, so with all those catches I've only used 3 traps in 2 holes.

Re: just curious

8 greys from one trap. The set right next to it never made a catch. Haven't caught a grey in that location since. That was 2006. 4 reds from one trap along with several coon and possum. 3 coyotes and a red from one trap. The only time I swap traps is when one won't function due to bent and missing pieces. That usually is after I latch on to a Deere.

Re: just curious

Be nice to have the fox numbers like above.

Mine would be 7 fox and 1 coyote at a double.
And 2 coyotes and 2 fox at a double.

Re: just curious

40 something from a quadruple set a few years ago. I lost count. Had a quad one morning followed by a triple the next. Always looked forward to driving into that location each day. Makes for some cool pics!

Re: just curious

Wow, you guys are on a whole other level! All at one set, I had no idea... I may leave the ones behind my house out longer next year. I though 9 off 100 acres was enough.

Re: just curious

The thing to remember with reds is the majority are traveling up to 20 miles to find a new home this time of year since they got kicked out starting in October. If you find that hot spot, you can catch all season long because they will travel the same locations.
