Mud shark or coho?
Smoked salmon is an excellent all around predator bait

Steelhead works great for mink...they can't resist it... I always save my belly trimmings from the fillets...

Re: salmon for bait ?

I have tried year old frozen salmon before in some dirt hole sets and I didn't get a darn thing to check it out.

Re: salmon for bait ?

I just found a bag of leftover salmon fillets in my freezer as well.
And on a side note I'm heading back up the river tomorrow morning as well .
