Cable Treatment (pics)

Here are four cables pictured together from left to right:

1. Soaked in cold baking soda solution and dipped once with Brown Formula 1.

2. Soaked in cold baking soda solution.

3. Factory cable dipped in Brown Formula 1.

4. Untreated factory cable.

My choice is #1.

I bought a quart of speed dip about 4 years ago. It still sits un-opened on the shelf, as I can't bring myself to use anything I have to mix with gas on the canine line.
Baking soda and F1 is sheer perfection for cables.

Re: Cable Treatment (pics)

once or twice in F1??

is the F1 watered down slightly more than directions say??

my F1 is watered down a little extra and i dipped my cables twice..

they arent quite #1 but a little "better" than #3...they were factory cables..

i really like it...they really disappear..

how long did you cold soak them?? never thought of cold soaking them...

Re: Cable Treatment (pics)

Soak three days. Box of baking soda to two gallons of water. Dipped once in 6:1 brown F1.
