What lb. bad on your CR's

What lb. bad. do you use on your cr's? Regs say 375# or less. I was thinking of making some with a 350#. Would this be overkill? Saw a picture of a neck caught deer with a 285# that had to be released. I would have thought a deer could have broke free. Is a 285# bad strong enough to hold all or most coyotes? Just took my class last year so I'm just learning.

Coyotes like to chew the cables. I think more get away from chewing cables than actually breaking free especially with cable restraints.

Re: What lb. bad on your CR's

The thing I found out with chewing is that when your swivel gets clogged it makes a kink in your cable which causes your cable to unwind its easier to chew through an unwrapped cable than one that's not. I have been hooking a crunch proof swivel to my stake than to my cable it seems to help
