I see it's still 150 yds for trapping. They were talking about changing this. Anyone have any other info on this.and any other law changes they are thinking about implementing.

Re: Safety Zone

If you have permission from the land owner you can hunt or trap in a safety zone

Re: Safety Zone

I hope they don't make it any less distance. We have enough trouble with pets without getting closer to houses than we are now..

Re: Safety Zone

What is the reasoning for a "trapping safety zone"?

Is it the need to protect trespassing pets?

Re: Safety Zone

I trap in barns, around barns and any other out building...but I have permission to do so and the farmers like when I get the coons out of their buildings... Catch the problem coons for them and catch the fox and coyotes for me. Everyone is happy.

Re: Safety Zone

you CAN hunt and TRAP inside of safety zones in PA....but the catch is you have to have WRITTEN PERMISSION...word of mouth isnt going to cut the law....and that came directly from a CO i was talking to one day on the line....

Re: Safety Zone

You just need permission...does not have to be written.
