Trapping books

What are some good trapping books to teach a novice the ropes? The farm I hunt seemed to be over run with fox the last couple years after the guy who trapped it stopped coming around. Just picked up 6 traps, so hopefully be able to thin 1 or two out. sidenote: the quail have virtually disappeared since the old trapper stopped coming, Do you think its the coons or the foxes having a bigger impact on them?

Charles Dobbins' - Land Sets and Trapping Techniques is a very good one

Re: Trapping books

It might be the coon , skunks , eating the eggs of the quail , and also useless birds of prey ( HAWKS , OWLS ) kill alot of game birds ..
If were lucky some sort of disease will hit the hawks and owls and wipe them out !!!
