Hip wader boots

I'm going to purchase new hip waders before next season. I'm wondering what you folks like, hate? I want a heavy duty boot thats insulated and i don't care what the price is. I've found that this year i could do 90% of my water trapping in hippers instead of chest waders. Plus, they're cooler in warmer days out especially if i have to walk much. Thanks for your input.

Re: Hip wader boots

I use Lacrosse Big Chief hip boots everyday for beaver trapping. They are ankle fit and are very comfortable on long hikes. If you get a hole in one, just use an inner tube patch to fix it. Lacrosse Outriggers are super heavy duty, but not very comfortable.

Re: Hip wader boots

I don't wear hip boots much. But lacrosse burlys I have been wearing for years. Used to go thru a pair a year for about $40 bucks I bought a pair in november for $60+ and they are falling apart. Time to look at something else.
