need help

Hi guys I'm extremely new to trapping just started a week ago I have a question on how to cover traps. I put out some dirt hole sets today for fox/ coyote the ground was to wet to get dry dirt so I covered some sets with leaves and in the filed ed I grabbed the grassy stuff in the field chopped it up some and covered the trap with that. Will this work leaves and grass? All I ever here is covering up with dirt. thanks guys!

Practice does not make perfect. perfect practice makes perfect!

Re: need help

fill some gallon size freezer bags with peat moss. easy to use and lighter than a bucket of dirt.

Re: need help

I use peat moss as well, but if the wife is gone for some hours, I dry dirt in the oven. Keep it in quart containers that are easy to vary in my tote.
