First year, First Catch (pics)

First year, first catch, first release and first dirty pair of underwear! Decided to try my hand at trapping with a whopping 4 traps to my name to see if i like it. After being in the ground for a 3 days i got my first real catch (other than opossums)and i think im hooked.

Re: First year, First Catch (pics)

That looks like a really nice spotted tom.
Is that a fresh T-bone laying across the stick in the second pic?

If you are going to be trapping on land you'd better beef up your anchoring to something other than that light wire you used.

Re: First year, First Catch (pics)

I've seen a few cats over the years but never any with spots like this guy had.

They were scraps from a buck my dad killed the last day of archery (before anyone starts, they were fully covered up when i made the set)

The wire works for now, like I said im just dippin my feet in this year, for sure I'll have too pick up more and better equipment as time goes on

My cats are never spotted. Just plain old blah brown/gray.
