Spray Paint

I ran into an ol timer today running the line, he was turkey hunting well we got to talking about trapping and he told me that back when he trapped they use to spray paint their traps instead of dying them. Has anybody done this on here?

Re: Spray Paint

When I first started, I went into the season without enough traps, so I bought some new ones, degreased, primered and painted them, and used them for coon. The odor may deter a fox, though. I will tell you that after 8 years of boiling, dyeing, and waxing, some still have paint on them. I have thought alot about painting my bodygrips, though.

Re: Spray Paint

I am not sure, but as long as they are waxed odor shouldn't be an issue.
