Question about how much lure to use

I am new to trapping and have purchased some raccoon lure.
(moonshine) I am not sure how much to use at a set and what to put it down with. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: Question about how much lure to use

just take a twig and stick it in the lure jar and take a little out and throw the stick in the hole

When I set dp's for coon I liked minn trap prod meat bait with a marshmallow in the trap and a pea size amount on a limb about 4 ft high I usually do two spots around the trap. Worked great last year

Re: Question about how much lure to use

use a glob about the size of your thumbnail in your sets. a good location should do most of the work for you. most trappers i know dont give enough credit to the animals nose. as long as you "set on sight" the animal will smell that lure...guarenteed.

Was it worth the trouble? HA! What trouble?!
