Full metal jacket

Is this stuff good for traps I use on my water line? Do I still need to dye them first?

Re: Full metal jacket

I use it on cables and sifters only. Can't say on traps. I did make a mistake and put the cables in a hot bath of logwood after I dip in FMJ a year later and they turned a light gray/white. I guess I will use them when the snow comes.

Re: Full metal jacket

I used the Dakota speed dip this year worked great and then after they dried I dipped them in the full metal jacket and it gives them a nice hard seal. Not sure if it last all season like it claims but it does give them a hard coating just besure that you have all the rust off before otherwise you won't be getting it off anytime soon.

From September to April my world revolves around hunting the rest is preseason.

Re: Full metal jacket

I dyed my traps and then used full metal jacket.. If it adheres to traps as well as it did my fingers, I'll like it! It was alot easier than waxing.. Here's and idea for you guys, give some to your wife for her fingernails or toenails.. My nails have a nice healthy shine still!
