NAFA auction

I was checkin on my furs at the NAFA auction. They have the lots listed online. Does anyone know the significance of the grading with the (*)? Their notes say that the asterisk means that it is a "labeled pelt". What does that mean? I'm hoping for a good turnout, all of my coon and one of red fox were graded select and I have a half dozen with the labeled pelt listing also.

Re: NAFA auction

Banshee......My son and I had the same question when we looked over our list as well. I'm hoping someone on here with a little more NAFA experience can shed some light on the subject.

If I'm not hunting or fishing with the kids....I'm somewhere on a Judo mat.

Re: NAFA auction

Thanks Renny....I saw and read that on their website but my lack of NAFA experience and the provebial "CRS" is catching up on me. Little help....what makes it a "labeled" skin....and (here's the big ?) is that a good thing? My son and I hope so 'cause the site says we have a couple of those.

Re: NAFA auction

Could be it's a brand label?

Re: NAFA auction

I still remember the days (I'm old) when I was a kid and sold my fox to the local fur buyer for up to $75 each.

Re: NAFA auction

That 75$ would be 150$ now, with inflation and all.

Re: NAFA auction

The (*) means just what the site says... the pelt is labeled with a tag that will stay with the garmet stating it was from NAFA. Its a good thing......
