Re: Why PA?

I've been to a few different conventions and I would say that PAs is larger than most other ones. We draw a lot of great vendors and speakers. Besides that for me we usually have about 20 people camp there for the whole convention. It's also way to easy to spend a lot of money!

35,000, but has pretty much doubled in the last 10 years.

Back in the 1960s/70s the PTA Convention outdrew the NTA. Back then all the top lure producers set up shop at the PTA Convention.

Re: Why PA?

I have a feeling it has to do with our geographical location. We are the "Keystone" State.

We are in the center of where most of the trappers are.

Our conventions were always better attended. It was said some of our district meetings were bigger than some state conventions.

Re: Why PA?

i personally think that the PA convention has alway been a big one because we are located in the center part of the east coast, which makes it a "hub"...and usually always PA has thier conventions near major highways and its usually not off the beaten path which makes access easier for all the vendors showing up thats out of state....
