sheeps wool

if any of you guys are in need of sheeps wool for the upcoming season let me know. i would be willing to meet, send, or i will be at the rondeszvous. i have garbage bags full of fresh wool. i shear about 40 to 50 sheep per year and it is just not worth anything anymore. so instead of composting i would be willing to give away to anyone in need

I am interested in getting some from you, I will definitely be at the convention in June.

Re: sheeps wool

It is sad to hear that there is not a profitable market for the wool.

your right. there was a time when we would take it to the wool pool in tunkannok. now it costs more in gas to get there than i get for all the wool i have.each fleece is around 4 pounds. so to say i toss alot is an uderestimate.i probably can fill about 10 or more garbage bags with the sheep i have left to shear.

Re: sheeps wool

Keep a grocery bag full for me for the next time we get together will ya?
Get one of those computer savvy kids of yours to put it on Ebay for you at $2 a bag for a gallon ziplock. Most trapping places sell it for close to $5/bag

Alright, nevermind. I just checked and there is a guy selling it for $1/bag. Just give it away. LOL>
