Old Mink in FFG

I just wanted to let you know there was an article by you about a Mountain Trap Line you ran. It was a very interesting read. I think it was the November 1984 issue. I think it was pretty much a walking line.

I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.

Re: Old Mink in FFG

Oh yes, I remember that line. There were some really nice black coon there. They were fetching good bucks then. Like the old time walkers, most of the fur was skinned and rolled right out on the line to save weight. Physically I could never run such a line anymore. Also, I no longer even own a packbasket, but then I have no need of it.

I trap mink because I don't know any better

You not only caught some black coon, you hammered the gray fox.

Re: Old Mink in FFG

I don't know about being able to see it online. I think there was at least one other article by OldMink in 1984, maybe 2 other articles. I am thinking he wrote about muskrat trapping too.

Re: Old Mink in FFG

If you know what issue it was in you can def get a copy from FFG by calling them. I've done it and I didn't know the exact month, just a general idea and the name of the article. The lady was very helpful, found it for me, and mailed it to me for about six bucks. Call em up.

It is time to manage avian predators!
