I started scouting for the 2012-13 season. I had one of my worst seasons this past year and decided that I'm going to bear down and find the most productive areas and try to run the most efficient trapline as possible. Here are a few pics I have got off the trail cam recently.
Nice Pics. Are you located in an area that allows you to trap fishers? Scouting is the first step to success!
Yep, I live in 2C and according to the Game Commission, we have one of the highest fisher populations in the state. I live next to Gallitzin State Forest and Indiana University of Pennsylvania along with the Game Commission did a fisher study a couple of years ago in the area. They found a very high population that was thriving and very healthy. It's very obvious because the turkey and squirrel population in this area is decreasing rapidly. I have had a fisher license for the last 2 years now but with only a 6 day season, it seems to make it a bit tough. They seem to roam quite a bit.
