silly beaver

got a call from my mom tonight. seems that a beaver decided to build a hut under the over turned boat on the pond right in the front yard.

its a 1/4 acre pond about 40 yards from the house. Also just up the road a guy has one tht just moved in the swimming hole by his house and is working on what little trees are left holding the bank after the flood. guess i got some work to do. i wonder if this crazy weather has them fooled. they show up in crazy spots like this after ice off when the older ones are getting frisky and kid the kids out. maybe they booted them early this year.

Now your diggin' where the 'tators are!

Re: silly beaver

I agree with you I have had them make huts under over turned boats also, but the best was when they chewed out a "den" in large strofoam blocks which were under a boat dock, those were fun to catch. Strofoam was everywhere and I finally conibeared them in a tunnel they had chewed thru the blocks, gotta love those guys.
