Look what I found in a catch circle

Found this big mole this morning in the catch circle from a red fox. Body had to be better than 3" long. First one I've looked at up close since I was a kid. Don't know how he got there.

That's strange wonder of the red fox had caught it then got caught in your trap. When he did he dropped it and had no interest in it since he was worried about the trap.

Re: Look what I found in a catch circle

I had a neat experience this past summer watching a red fox in my lower field. After I brush hogged the field I noticed I had hit a bunch of meadow voles. After a couple of days I saw a red fox working it's way through the field. When she got closer I noticed she had a mouth full of meadow voles and would zig zag across the field. When she would wind one she would drop the ones in her mouth, follow the scent to the next one, pick it up and head back to the pile and pick them back up. She had a den with pups just up from my property.

If you plant it, they will come!
