dirt hole snow pic

Had multiple dirtholes look like this after the snow, never had a chance to remake my sets after they became somewhat frozen. Lots of fox tracks at two spots. Any ideas on remakes for this frozen ground and snow?

I like buckwheat hulls under the trap. Waxed paper can hold water if you're in a freeze / thaw situation...

Re: dirt hole snow pic

put alittle peat in the trap bed and cover the trap with peat make sure to pack it around the jaws and pan and add more till you have about a 1/4in covering the trap then sift alittle dirt of trap just enough to cover the peat not to much because thats what will freeze on you!! thats what i have been doing in potter and never had a prob!! even with our weather
