Re: bobcat hunting

Nope, you can call fox and yotes, but if a cat or coon responds, you can't shoot it. Until midnite, then you can. Makes alot of sense, don't it?

Re: bobcat hunting

Neither does having a split season. I can't kill one in a trap but I am allowed to shoot one by calling it in or treeing it with a dog????

Re: bobcat hunting

morality and ethics aside...could you legally release a cat from a trap and have a buddy standing ready to shoot the cat once its released? remember i started by saying morality and ethics side...

the cat is free from the trap so what happens there? you gotta be quick on the draw though!

Re: bobcat hunting

cats don't always run when released, had them lay there some times and once one ran under my truck

Re: bobcat hunting

I had one run under my truck, jump on my spare tire, run up my drive shaft, and lay on my transmission. There's a video of part of it floating around Youtube somewhere.

Re: bobcat hunting

So whats the consensus morals and ethics aside??? Release from the trap and then hunt?
