Coon fleshing help please

Any tips for the tough spots on coons? I have trouble really getting the tails and the heads cleaned up sufficiently without a significant amount of time.

Re: Coon fleshing help please

I use a fillet knife and fillet the fat off the tail and do the same from the ears to the front shoulders, then use the fleshing knife on the rest
I don't worry to much about the area from the nose to the ears

Re: Coon fleshing help please

what i do is throw the coon in the freezer for a while let the fat and grizzle stiffen up and it peels off usually for me.

Foxhound: $250
Telemetery: $900
Shocking collar: $400
The sound of great chase: priceless
