Fox Question

I was setting a new trap for fox today (hay set). As I was placing scent on stick I had in the center, a red fox came up about 50 yards away. It saw me turned and high tailed it out of there. Do you think it will be wary of coming to that set since I was standing there or do you think it won't affect it?

Re: Fox Question

wow! was it down wind of you?? wondering if it was just moving on its own or if it smelled your lure and came to investigate that quick!

personally, id put in a different kind of set with a different lure in the same area and leave the hayset..he may still come work the hayset..but, he likely associates danger with that smell and sight of the hayset..

good luck!

Re: Fox Question

I was just placing it. There was no way he was on it that quick. I just happened to be there as he was coming through.
