Re: District 11 Sale Results

I wonder who let that 10 cent possum go? What a shame!
There was a post on Trapperman that showed $110 top lot red fox with a $53 average. $63 coyotes too.

Re: District 11 Sale Results

The beavers were small beavers that were taken out of the freezer. They were done as demos at this summerers rendezvous. But still should have put them up as muskrats and would have make out better. Didn't want to sew a zipper down the belly to put on muskrat board. The buyers might have caught that!

Re: District 11 Sale Results

Renny-the fine print states "averages are for first section pelts" Do you want to explain that to me? I would appreciate it, i'm not trying to be ignorant, however I am and just stated what I read. Thanks for any help you can give!! I am by no means an expert and have sold all fur in the round due to not having the proper space to skin and put-up, nor anyone to show me how!

Re: District 11 Sale Results

By their definition it would mean that these prices would reflect prime pelts of above average quality and texture. In other words they are not what you would expect to receive on any trappers lot. I don't like the way they post results like that because it is deceiving and meant to be so.......

Maybe this will help: http://www.furharvesters.com/pdf/gradingterm.pdf
