one sided news

http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbc...NEWS/201080342 this is a good read.lol.after speaking myself with mr.lombaerde this morning he infored me the letter writer is the person who's dog got caught in a PERFECLY LEGALLY set trap on deleware state forest.the article stated the man lived an hour or two away to make readers feel he wasn't legally checking his traps in a timely manner which was NOT the case.kind of humorous how reporters only report the things they want heard.i am asking all hpa members who read this to write a letter to the editor of this paper and tell them like it really is if more info is needed i'm sure mr.lombaerde himself will be posting on this thread later today as he is doing what most of us trappers do on a regular basis, helping educate those that have little knowledge of this great sport

Re: one sided news

Good thing it wasn't a bear trap? Don't let your dog off it's leash during trapping season if you're worried about it getting caught.

Re: one sided news

"But Heim said several dogs have been brought to the Humane Society missing a leg they chewed off to free themselves from traps."

I would like to see one much less several.

...."Both expressed relief the trap was a "humane trap" rather than a bear trap with jagged edges. "...

They must be joking.

Re: one sided news

I just hate it when I step in a bear trap. It smarts a little!

Re: one sided news

totally ignorant people in this state when it comes to trapping.chuck asked the reporter to come sit in one of his classes and i think her reply was she wasn't interested because she was an animal lover.she could at least become educated and learn some important facts.also if her dog was not leashed why wasn't she charged with an offense. guaranteed if the trapper had no tag on his trap he would be charged.
