I'm on a mission...

...to get my first coyote.I just checked my trail cam about 80 yards behind my house and I got a picture of a big one. He stands about 2 foot high at the top of the shoulder.
When I got the picture he was actually standing about 5ft away from one of my sets. I put out several new sets today so hopefully I get him in the next couple days. If I don't get him soon I probably wait until the start of CR season, and see if I can get him to try on a steal necklace. I'll try and post some pictures if I get him.

If at first you don't succeed.... reload!

Re: I'm on a mission...

Good luck, but don't be dissapointed if you don't catch "him" especially if you don't catch him in the next couple of day. I tried to learn as much as I could about coyotes for approx. 10yrs. using books and videos, and good information by guys on this site. Once I finally decided to attempt trapping them, I place a few sets the first fall/winter. Needless to say, I put alot of time into it (and gas money) and did not catch a canine that year (had a yote pull out in deep snow). I was unsuccessful at catching canines that year, but I learned a ton (which I already thought that I knew a lot). Second year, I worked hard and started catching canines (fox and yote). This year I'm catching them without much effort. Like anything else, its learning and practice. Don't meen to be long winded, I just don't want to see you get too disappointed. Good luck!

I'll keep my money, guns, ammo, and health care; you can keep your change
