Re: Yet another one

I don't understand why they would be a pain. I have never seen a live bobcat. I would love to catch just one someday.

Re: Yet another one

Well said TrappinJohn...

YodelDog827 don't get me wrong I do like to see them. But when I had to release 4 bobcats in 3 weeks they are starting to become a pain just because the time it takes to get them out of the trap reset the trap and move on

Re: Yet another one

I wasn't trying to be a smart a$% in any means. I am ignorant in the time and effort it takes to release a cat. I would just be in awe if I caught one. Lets hope you have this luck during the season.

Re: Yet another one

Tote? Reason you use that and not a catch pole? Like I said I have never caught one to release so I am oblivious.

Re: Yet another one

With the catch pole you run the chance of doing damage to thier necks (windpipe, vertebre, etc.) with a catch pole you can choke them down to much where they will pass out...now you run the risk of them waking up running into the brush and dieing,A lot of people will tell you that is not true..So I use a big tote throw it over them, they calm down, slide the tote to expose the trap, release the trap then the bobcat this way was shown to me by the member on here called Bobcat

Nice job flyguy. You're enjoying yourself, don't make it sound like you're not.
