Hey guys im new on here this is my first post.. I am new to trapping and i keep catching possums and cats in my fox and coon traps is this normal or am i messing up some how?

The baits and lures used for coons and fox are attractive to a lot of other animals. We all catch trash sooner or later.

Thanks rainman but if I catch trash in the trap is it best to pick up and move the trap to a fresh spot?

don't use bait as it draws in more junk than say a gland based lure.you'll still catch some non target animals but not nearly as many

I would enjoy catching what you can. You may burn your brain out trying only to catch fox. Have fun with those griners and coons
