Opening day

Whos setting this morning? I got some coon I gotta get rid of for a friend.They are tearing his corn field up and gonna set a few fox just for fun with the kids. Anyone else laying steel?

I checked out a nice boar coon that was road killed yesterday. Fur looked great. The small ones probably look bad though, just like last year.

I wonder if it ever dawns on people that some trap for other reasons, other than fur value. I set 4 yote traps today because I can. I plan to set more later. Im not wasting fur, just getting paid for what its worth at that time.

i wonder if it ever dawns on some people that when you catch fur early as alot of people do and than sell it you flood the market with junk which drives the price of good fur down.i really don't trap for fur value, ijust figure i owe it to the animal to respect it's value and kill them when they are worth more.if you don't trap for the value of your pelts why don't you just get them tanned instead of ruining the market for the rest of us!
