Re: stretcher dimensions

I have always followed NAFA fur dimensions

Re: stretcher dimensions

I started building mine to NAFA specs years ago because I thought the FHA specs were too narrow. Turns out my local fur buyer preferred foxes stretched on the narrower boards.

I didn't feel like cutting down/reshaping all those boards and I still build new ones to NAFA specs. My new fur buyer is happy with fox skins off NAFA boards. Neither dealer has an issue with coons on NAFA boards.

Moral of story; find out what your primary fur buyer prefers and shape your boards that way.

Eh...wot?
